Food House

It is one of the old-school food houses, basing its proposal on pure Madrid style gastronomy, with a XXI century vision. With entrance and views to Clavel street, the food house proposes a daily menu for lunch and a brilliant recovery of the cocido madrileño for lunch on Saturday and Sundays.

Certified restaurant by MSC/ASC Chain of Custody Standard (First hotel chain certified in Southern Europe, Mexico and the Dominican Republic). From Iberostar, as part of our “Wave of Change” initiative, we work to provide our customers with an increasingly responsible seafood selection to protect the health of our oceans and the people and communities that depend on them.

Daily menu

At the food house, we propose a daily menu for lunch Monday to Friday, in which you can always find some of Madrid’s most traditional dishes, authentic homemade food of which we may highlight the rice dishes and stews that remind grandma’s. The diner can choose among four starters, four mains and four desserts. With seasonal proposals you may discover from a potato and calamari stew to callos with chickpeas, cream of courgette, baby lamb chops or scrambled eggs with blood sausage and pine nuts or wild asparagus. A dish elaborated with fish with MSC* certification, such as Bacalao with pil-pil sauce, is offered every day as a main option.

El cocido

The menu is also available on weekends in addition to more elaborated proposals where the traditional cocido madrileño is the star, served in three “vuelcos” or servings with the finest ingredients. We start with the first serving, the cocido soup elaborated with very thin noodles, slow cooked and with loads of flavour. To follow, the chickpeas and the vegetables together with the third serving, the meats, chorizo, blood sausage, Iberian pancetta… to make the most of that bread! Do not miss one of the most authentic dishes in our gastronomy.
